I'm pear shaped 3x. I got this in 3x black, fabric looks like it will hold up well, nice weight. I have larger than normal hips, so the hip area was a little more snug fit than I like and I could feel the horizontal seams "ridges" too much. I have other tiered skirts that I don't feel ridges...guess they are sewn differently. If it weren't for the ridges I would have given it 5 stars. I went back for the khaki and brown in 4x and like the fit in my hips much better; could still feel the seam ridges but I can live with that. I took a chance on the khaki cause the color in the photo looked like it had a strange harsh yellow overtone, but in person it is a very pretty, soft creamy color--glad I took a chance. The brown looks just like the photo, it is not a dark chocolate brown, but more like a cocoa, a very "warm" vivid brown. I would buy this skirt in more colors, i.e. pink, ivory, pale sage, aqua, banana, etc.
