At first the coat felt a bit snug under the arms but I soon realized that it wasn't really---I guess I am used to raglan sleeves.
Where I live we don't have a lot of use for such a heavy coat, but when I travel to colder climes or we are having a cold snap at night, I just love this cozy coat. I now own two of them.

The fit, quality and workmanship of the coat seem to be good. I imagine that this coat would be perfectly satisfactory in a solid color. However, I purchased it in the blackwatch plaid color (one of my favorite plaids); and was extemely disappointed. The color is unlike anything I have ever seen or owned, described as "blackwatch plaid." The prominent dull and dreary olive, loden, muddy water, or army green contrasted against black gives the coat a rather masculine appearance; and what is traditionally a vibrant marine, or royal-navyish blue is, in this rendition of blackwatch plaid, a dim grayish color that can be read as blue, close-up. While this plaid may compliment redheads, I felt compelled to rush right out and purchase a contrasting scarf to offset the lackluster shades of the colors in this "blackwatch plaid."
I have an ecclectic style of dressing. However, since the colors in this plaid detract so much from the appearance of this coat, I think it would only be appropriate for everyday wear or for the most casual of events and occasians. (Also, creases caused by the manner of packaging may require professional removal unless one owns a steamer.)

Looking forward to wearing this coat this winter with the hood up, especially if this winter is as cold as last winter. Good casual outdoor coat; would wear it camping or walking. I bought this red coat last year. And then I bought one in tan this year. I was unhappy with the tan coat and the wear of the coat. The toggle came off as well as the inside buttons after a few times of wearing it. The material seemed to "pill" and it looks like I've had it for years!

I use this product every chance I get. I will not wear it in the rain, because it does not keep you dry. With a jacket underneath it is a very warm coat. It is an ok coat to wear during some of Chicago's mild weather, but not for the subzero temperatures.
