This dress is great for going to the store, out to lunch with the girls, and such. I would not wear it for dressy occasions. It is too short in the back of the neck for me. But the same colored blouse I wear over it serves two purposes, it covers my back/neck and looks sharp with it too. You will love the comfort of the dress.

Could this dress BE any longer? I don't think so. I am debating getting it hemmed or sending it back. It's a great dress, it is just too long. I am tall as well, so shortness is not an excuse. I have not worn a dress that hits the ankles since the....80's?? or maybe, 70's???? Or was it the 90's??? Anyway, dresses THAT long are not in style. I felt like I was in ancient biblical times, with maybe a robe-like garment on. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it just is not modern times of fashion. It is a shame, too, great dress.

Pink was one of my best friend's (and Mother-in-law) favorite colors. Last year I had purchased a shell pink wool blend blazer, and lacked a dress that would have coordinated well with the piece. This dress did the trick; on Mother's Day this year I wore this outfit as we took her to brunch at a wonderful inn in Maine, and she was delighted. She was the kind of woman who advocated for the best in womanhood, and when she said that she liked the look, I knew that I had pleased her, and that was important. This meant the world to me, in that one week later, she had passed from the earth at the age of 93....but obviously, she had a sense of appropriateness and fashion right to the end. We should all follow her example, and care for ourselves and each other with equal devotion. Looking at this little dress gave her a moment of joy, and it can do that for others as well.
