I have average sized calves, but I don't think the boots give you enough room to zip up when you want to wear the pants on the insides of the boots.

The shaft is much to narrow for the calf of my leg. It's a beautiful boot but too stiff! When I put it on and got the zipper half way up I could't bend my ankle!
